Data Controller
Hoshimyaniamtion S. de R.L. (hereinafter "the Company"), domiciled in Mexico, is responsible for the use and protection of the personal data collected.
Personal Data Collected
For the newsletter, only the email address is requested. If you create a Hoshii TV account, we also store your username, email, full name and, if you provide it, your phone for two-step verification, plus your ratings, list and playback progress. Payments are processed by Stripe; the Company only keeps the card brand, type and last four digits, never the full number or security code. If you choose to turn on adult (18+) content, your date of birth is stored (encrypted) solely to verify that you are of legal age; it cannot be changed once saved and is not used for any other purpose.
Purpose of Data Processing
The email address will be used exclusively to send information, updates, or communications from the Company. Account data is used to give you access to the service, protect it and manage your subscription. Under no circumstances will the data be sold, transferred, or shared with unrelated third parties.
Data Transfer
No personal data transfers to third parties will be made without the express consent of the owner, except for the exceptions provided by law.
Information Security
The Company will implement reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the data. Passwords are stored with irreversible hashing and personal data is encrypted in the database. In the event of a security incident, the responsibility will lie with the hosting provider where the data is stored, with the Company disclaiming such responsibility.
★ Additional account, profile and device data
To run Hoshii TV and protect your account we also record: the family profiles you create (name, avatar, phrase, favorites and Top 10), each profile’s viewing history and progress, your “Watch later” and favorites lists, and the devices with an open session (browser type, IP address, approximate country and last use). Hoshii Store purchases keep the order details and, for physical products, the encrypted shipping address. Security logs (sign-ins, failed attempts, VPN notices) are kept for up to 12 months solely to prevent and mitigate fraud and attacks.
★ Email verification and communications
When you create an account we send an 8-digit code and a link to confirm the email belongs to you; you can’t sign in without that verification. The newsletter is only sent to people who confirm their subscription, and every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Security notices (new device, email change, lock after failed attempts) are always sent because they protect the account.
★ Parental protection and minors
The account must be opened and managed by an adult (the “owner”), who is responsible for the profiles they create for their family. Kids profiles only show content rated for all ages or 7+, can’t post comments with personal data and require the parental PIN to leave them. The Company does not knowingly request personal data from minors: kids profiles only store a name or nickname, a predefined avatar and viewing progress. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor gave us personal data without your consent, contact us and we will delete it.
★ Content for adults (18+)
Adult-rated content is locked by default. To watch it, the owner must declare their date of birth (stored encrypted and impossible to change later), accept the notice and create a parental PIN that is requested on each device to unlock it for 4 hours. Only profiles authorized by the owner can see it; kids profiles never. We also recommend enabling the parental controls of your operating system or browser.
★ Accuracy of information and limitation of liability
The owner is responsible for the information they provide being true, accurate and current, in particular their date of birth, identity and that of the profiles they create. The Company is not liable for damages or consequences arising from false, inaccurate or third-party information, including minors accessing adult content through a false date of birth or the use of the parental PIN without the owner’s authorization. The Company may suspend or close accounts when it detects false information or use contrary to these rules.
ARCO Rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition)
The owner may exercise their rights in accordance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties by sending a request to the Company's contact email. You can also edit or delete your account at any time from “My account”.
Consent
By providing their email address, the owner agrees to the terms of this privacy notice.
Modifications to the Privacy Notice
The Company reserves the right to modify this privacy notice at any time. Any changes will be communicated through the website or by email.
